On September 11, 2023, the Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) Auxiliary marked a momentous 70-year partnership with a golf tournament at The Quarry Golf Course in San Antonio, TX. The event, beyond its competitive spirit, was a show of support and commitment to the healthcare community within government institutions. It was a day where 144 golfers came together to celebrate and contribute to a cause close to many hearts.
Commitment to the Military Community
Epic Government, in collaboration with Coho Integrated Services, was proud to be a “Golden Medic” Sponsor of the tournament, through our joint venture, Coho Federal Services (CFS), JV. Our sponsorship allowed us to contribute to the gift bags and support the 3rd hole Hole-IN-One and “Closest To the Hole” contests. Among the participants from our companies were George Bernardy, President of Coho Integrated Services; Paul Young, Vice President at Epic Government; and Manuel Garcia, Operations Manager at Epic Government.
The Patriot Day Golf Tournament successfully raised a total of $68,000, with $38,000 directly donated to the BAMC Auxiliary. This funding goes towards the Annual Grant Program, aiding both patients and staff and helping to close the budgetary gaps in various departments within BAMC. The contribution is not just monetary; it’s a commitment to the continued support and improvement of healthcare services within the military community.
