Annapolis, Maryland, 5 May 2021 – FSR, a leading government contractor providing healthcare services and program management to federal, state, and local government agencies, announced today that Jeff Johnson has been named as President.
FSR founder Tracy Balazs started the company in 2004 and built it to receive awarded work on keystone contracts to include DHA MQS $7.5B IDIQ, Navy MATOS, Air Force CLASS, and many others. Over the last eight months, Jeff Johnson has led the company as Chief Operating Officer expanding the company into supporting additional federal agencies including the Department of Veterans Affairs. With Johnson in place, Balazs was able to retire from FSR this Spring. Balazs, “Jeff is the right person to continue FSR’s mission of supporting the military community, maintaining and growing our business relationships, and track record of quality service to our clients. I trust him to continue my legacy.”
Johnson has more than 18 years of federal healthcare management experience. He brings broad experience including management oversight and healthcare compliance, strategic planning, policy and program management, Federal budget best practices, Information Technology strategy, and overall healthcare management. He gained experience as a Federal employee with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Managing Director with Grant Thornton, and Account Manager with Leidos (LDOS $11.09B). In addition to his civilian career, Johnson retired in 2018 after serving 21 years with the Air National Guard.
Jeff Johnson holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the George Washington University, Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration from the University of South Dakota and is a certified Project Management Professional® (PMP). He has served as a leader of community service initiatives supporting veteran-focused initiatives, partnering with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring our Heroes program, and Disabled American Veterans. He also served as the leader of Grant Thornton Public Sector’s Veterans Business Resource Group.
